By default an event is tagged when a person's name or nickname appears in its title. Rules extend that to titles that don't name anyone: events matching a keyword go to that person automatically. A keyword matches as a whole word or phrase — or use * as a wildcard: “Piano*” matches any title starting with Piano, “*practice” any title ending in practice. Click any event in the preview to tag it by hand; check “always” there and the rule lands in this list.

Optional — a person can have no calendar. iCloud: Calendar → Sharing → Public Calendar. Google: Settings → Secret address in iCal format.
Lists show on the TV when the layout includes them, and anyone can check items off with the remote.
On an Apple TV: Callie → Settings → General → Account. On an iPhone or iPad: open Callie and tap “Link this device”. Either way it shows a 6-digit code. Link as many as you like — they all follow this same calendar.
